Jhalanath Khanal abandons CPN-UML
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has decided to join the CPN (Unified Socialist) party.
Khanal, who has been receiving treatment in New Delhi, has decided to send a letter to the Election Commission stating that he has abandoned the UML and joined the CPN (Unified Socialist) party.
Leader Khanal has abandoned the UML, a source close to him said.
“He has abandoned the UML and now, he is a senior leader of the newly formed CPN (Unified Socialist) party,” the source said.
Talking to Nepal Press, Central member of the CPN (Unified Socialist) party Shree Prasad Sah said that Khanal will send the letter through the New Delhi-based Nepal Embassy to the Election Election on Tuesday itself.
