NC leader Pradip Giri hospitalised

KATHMANDU:  Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives Pradip Giri has been admitted to the Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, India on Thursday after he complained of severe throat pain.

Doctors have started treatment suspecting a sign of cancer.

A team led by Dr Sultan Pradhan is treating the Nepali Congress leader. “He is being treated for a severe problem seen in his throat. There is a suspicion of cancer but it has not been declared yet” a source close to Giri said.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress Vice-President Bimalendra Nidhi is planning to leave for Mumbai to meet Giri.

It has been learnt that Nidhi will go to Mumbai from Janakpur via Darbhanga. Nepali Congress central member Bal Krishna Pandey will also accompany him.
