Prohibitory orders extended by one week in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have extended the prohibitory orders by one week.

A joint meeting of all three district administrations of the Kathmandu Valley held on Tuesday extended the prohibitory orders till August 11 to contain the spread of Covid-19.

The prohibitory order in place is expiring on Wednesday midnight.

Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, said that the DAO would take action against the people who do not wear masks in public from today itself. Security personnel would monitor the prohibitory orders, he said.

Chief District Officers said that they would think about extending the prohibitory orders by observing the situation of one week.
