1 million doses of Vero Cell vaccines arrive in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Nepal received an additional one million doses of Vero Cell vaccines on Thursday.

A widebody aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) carrying the vaccines landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 2:15 pm today.

According to Dim Prakash Paudel, Managing Director at the NAC, another aircraft will fly to Beijing at 11 pm today to bring additional one million doses of vaccines. The aircraft will land in Kathmandu at 2 pm tomorrow.

The same aircraft is scheduled to fly again to Beijing on Saturday to bring remaining vaccines. Nepal had purchased four million doses of vaccines from Chinese vaccine manufacturer Sinopharm.
