4 die after consuming home-brewed liquor in Baglung

Four persons died while two others have fallen sick after consuming home-made liquor in Galkot, Baglung district on Monday.

Among the six persons who had gone to bed after consuming alcohol at Gairakharka, Galkot Municipality-7 of the district, four were found dead yesterday night, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Dipendra Pun (21), Dhud Bahadur Rana, Rekh Bahadur Rana and Prabin Gharti (30) of Smriti Raral Municipaity-5 of Rolpa.

They had been working at the Galkot Drinking Water Project.

Similarly, Khem Raj Gharti (38) and Rabindra Pun of Smriti Rural Municipality-5 have fallen sick, police said.

They are receiving treatment at the Dhaulagiri Hospital, Dr Sailendra Pokharel, Medical Superintendent at the Dhaulagiri Hospital said.

Police said that have detained the eatery owner for the investigation.
