Indian PM assures Nepal of supplying Covid-19 vaccines at the earliest

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation on Monday, a day after the former won the vote of confidence in the Parliament.

During the conversation, Indian PM Modi assured PM Deuba of providing remaining 1 million doses of Astrazeneca Covid-19 vaccine at the earliest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Meanwhile, the Indian Prime Minister also congratulated and extended best wishes to PM Deuba. The duo also discussed issues of mutual interests and strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and India.

Following the conversation, the Indian Prime Minister took to twitter to express his commitment that the two countries will joined hands together to stem the surge of Covid-19.
