Health supplies sent from Germany to Kathmandu handed over to Health Minister

KATHMANDU: Health materials including 112 ventilators provided by the German government to help control the COVID pandemic have been handed over to the government today.

German Ambassador to Nepal Ronald Schaefer handed over the health items to Health Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang at Tribhuvan International Airport today.

The health items were brought to Nepal by Turkish Airlines under the EU’s Comprehensive EU Solidarity Package.

Five isolation tents with ventilators, 2,068,500 KN95 masks, 400 gumboots, 29,000 pulse oximeters, 33 million surgical masks and 25,000 litres of hand sanitizers provided by Germany, were handed over today.
