8,636 new infections and 6,404 recoveries reported on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, 8,636 people have been infected with coronavirus in the country. 22,936 antigen and PCR samples were tested. An additional 169 people have died. 

8,387  infections were confirmed from 22,306 PCR tests in laboratories across the country, and 630 antigen tests confirmed the infection in 249 people.

6,404 people have recovered. The recovery rate is 76.56%. 

The total number of infected has reached 5,28,848. A total of  6,770 people have lost their lives.

The number of actively infected has reached 1,17,261
