Chandragiri Municipality sealed from today to May 21

KATHMANDU: The Chandragiri Municipality of Kathmandu has been sealed after the public started disobeying the prohibitory orders imposed by the District Administration Office.

The municipality has stated that the services of all government and private offices, banks and financial institutions have been completely shut down and the area has been sealed from today.

Mayor of the municipality Ghanshyam Giri said that the area has been sealed as banks and government offices remain open and the movement of the public will not stop in prohibitory orders. 

The municipality made the decision abruptly after most people tested positive for COVID-19 during antigen testing. 

Now, it has been completely banned to walk outside homes in the Chandragiri municipality area from today, 15th May to 5 AM on 21st May. All services including food, groceries, meat shops, fruits, and vegetables except the essential services of pharmacies and health institutions have been shut down.
