Unification of communists proven to be illegal: Congress leader Lekhak
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak has said that the Supreme Court has proved that the leftist unification was wrong.
The Congress leader’s response came after the Supreme Court annulled the unity between the CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist Center.
“We have already said that the unity of the communists is apolitical, immoral and illegal. Today, the Supreme Court has also proved the same”, Lekhak told NepalPress.
He said that the political steps and strategy to be taken by the Congress are yet to be discussed. “Discussions are yet to take place within the party on the new situation. I can say more only after a decision is made within the party,” said Lekhak.
