India celebrates 75th Independence Day

Agency: India is celebrating its 75th Independence Day today, 15th August.

A formal program  was conducted at the Red Fort in Delhi this morning  in the presence of a limited number of people due to the Ccvid-19 pandemic.

Security was tightened in the capital Delhi ahead of Independence Day. Arrangements was made for drone inspection in sensitive areas.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort in New Delhi on the occasion of Independence Day. Army personnel, Olympic medal-winning Indian athletes and those who have been at the forefront of the Covid-19 pandemic are being honored at the event.

The Delhi Police has pasted the pictures of the most wanted terrorists on the official list around the Red Fort.
