Students stage demonstration at PK Campus demanding deferment of exams

KATHMANDU: Students staged a demonstration at the Bagbazaar-based Padma Kanya Campus on Tuesday demanding that the examination board halt all the examinations that are being conducted amidst the risk of Covid-19 pandemic.

They also demanded that the government conduct the examinations only after providing vaccines against the Covid-19 to the students.

Police have also arrested some students from outside the campus. PK Campus has been assigned as the exam centre of as many as 18 colleges. The students staged the demonstration arguing that the campus could become the virus-spreading hub as thousands of students are appearing the exams.

Earlier, the Tribhuvan University had decided that it would conduct the pre-scheduled examinations till September 19.
