Prohibitory orders extended in Kathmandu Valley till July 25

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory orders by another one week till July 25.

A joint meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur held on Thursday made the decision to this effect, citing continuous increase in the coronavirus cases in the Valley.

The meeting has, however, decided to further relax the prohibitory orders.

Following the decision, long-route vehicles and private vehicles are allowed to enter the Valley by complying with the health safety protocols.

Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli,  said that no travel permits are required to enter the Valley from now onwards. Earlier, the District Administration Offices had made travel permits mandatory to enter the Valley.

All kinds of shops, however, are allowed to be open till 7 pm.
