1.5 million doses of Johnson & Johnson to arrive in Kathmandu from USA on Monday

KATHMANDU: 1.5 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is being provided to Nepal by the United States as a grant through the COVAX facility, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on Monday morning. 

This information was provided by Rajan Bhattarai, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister. The United States is offering the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Last month, US President Joe Biden announced that 80 million doses of the vaccine would be made available to countries including Nepal, through COVAX.
