UML chairperson Oli appointed Prime Minister after others failed to secure a majority

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has been appointed as the Prime Minister as the leader of the largest party in the House of Representatives.

Oli was appointed prime minister after no party submitted a claim within the time limit set by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.

Oli has to get a vote of confidence from the parliament within a month.
