Police fire shots in the air after protesters hurl stones at fire engine

KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force personnel fired shots in the air following a clash with the pro-monarchy protesters in Tinkune.

Some police personnel were injured in the clash.

The protesters had also hurled stones at the fire engine which had come to extinguish the fire at a house.

Police fired four rounds of bullets in the air to disperse the mob.
