Bajagain files complaint at Disciplinary Commission demanding action against Minister Pandey

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Rajendra Bajagain has filed a complaint against Tourism Minister Badri Bajagain at the party’s Central Disciplinary Commission with four allegations.
Bajagain alleges that Pandey, at a public event held recently, advocated the ideology of Chinese President Xi Jinping and spoke against the principles of the Nepali Congress, Constitution, and national interests.
In the complaint, Bajagin said that Pandey has launched a targeted social media campaign by misusing his post, the objective of which was to influence the public opinion and to weaken his credibility.
He has strategically tried to establish himself as the clean person through the media under the guise of self-righteousness, but has taken many decisions that directly undermine Nepal’s national interests, Bajagain said.
“He has divided Nepali-owned companies in a systematic way. He has distributed licenses of casinos indiscriminately, violating legal procedures. He has even attempted to challenge court decisions – which, along with contempt of court, attacks the rule of law,” Bajagain added.
“Not only media, Pandey is also active internally. He has been trying to take action against me by influencing party leadership and using the Disciplinary Committee,” Bajagain further said.
