CPN (US) Syangja district Chair Bishnu Giri arrested on rape charge

SYANGJA: CPN (Unified Socialist) district Chairman Bishnu Giri has been arrested on the charge of rape.

The District Police Office, Syangja said that Giri, who is also the Vice-Chairman of Gandaki Province of CPN (US), was apprehended based on the arrest warrant issued by the Kaski District Court.

Police informed that Giri (51) of Putalibazar Municipality-14, Syangja was nabbed from his home after the Kaski District Court gave permission to arrest him.

The Kaski District Court has extended the remand of Giri by six days and started the investigation.
