British Princess Sophie arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: British Princess Sophie has arrived in Kathmandu on a private visit to Nepal on Tuesday.

She landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 11 am today.

Foreign Secretary Amrit Kumar Rai welcomed her at the airport.

Prince Edward, however, will arrive in Kathmandu after some time. He will arrive in Nepal via India.

The royal couple is scheduled to meet President Ram Chandra Paudel.

It has been said that they will also visit Kathmandu and Pokhara.

During their week-long stay in Nepal, they will also meet the families of those working in the British Army, it has been said.
