BYD launches the Sealion 7 eSUV at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

KATHMANDU :  BYD India has unveiled its latest electric vehicle offering, the BYD Sealion 7 Pure Performance eSUV, at the prestigious Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This bold new addition to BYD’s electric vehicle lineup promises a combination of cutting-edge technology, impressive performance, and stylish design, setting new benchmarks for electric mobility in India.

The Sealion 7 is built on BYD’s renowned Blade Battery technology, offering an impressive 82.56 kWh capacity that integrates directly into the chassis for added safety and performance. The eSUV comes in two variants:

• Performance Variant: 390 kW (690 Nm), accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, with an impressive range of 542 km (NEDC).
• Premium Variant: 230 kW (380 Nm), reaching 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and offering a slightly longer range of 567 km (NEDC).

Designed by acclaimed automotive designer Wolfgang Egger, the Sealion 7 boasts sleek “Ocean X” aerodynamic styling that blends form with function. The interior is equally impressive, featuring a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, luxurious Nappa leather seats, ambient lighting, and a panoramic glass roof for an expansive view.

Smart Technology and Performance Features

The SUV comes packed with high-tech features, including VTOL (Vehicle-to-Load) capability, enabling the Sealion 7 to power electronic devices directly from the vehicle. In addition, Smart Torque Control (iTAC) enhances the vehicle’s handling, offering a superior driving experience.
