Foreign Minister Rana expresses sorrow over fatal train accident in Maharashtra

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has expressed sorrow over the train accident that took place at Maharastra, India on Wednesday.

Taking to a social site today, the foreign minister said she was saddened by the deaths of Nepali and Indian nationals in the accident.

Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Minister Rana paid tributes to the departed souls. The minister wished for a quick recovery of the injured.

The minister this morning telephoned the Nepali ambassador to India and Indian ambassador to Nepal, urging the authorities concerned of both countries to engage in the rescue and relief efforts and the treatment of the injured in an effect.
