Chief whips of big four parties hold meeting in Singha Durbar
KATHMANDU: Chief whips of big four political parties of the House of Representatives held a meeting at the Parliamentary Party Office of the CPN-UML in Singha Durbar on Friday.
Nepali Congress Chief Whip Shyam Ghimire, UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chief Whip Hit Raj Pandey and Rastriya Swatantra Party Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar were present in the meeting.
UML Chief Whip Bartaula said that the meeting zeroed in on taking ahead in the parliamentary proceedings in an effective way.
Chief whips of the major political parties held a meeting to discuss taking ahead of the House business in an effective way after the government started making preparations to call the winter session of the Parliament.
He said that the meeting discussed the role to be played by the parliamentary parties to take the ordinances presented by the government to the Parliament to the level of law formulation in a speedy manner.
“We held a discussion on the ways to make the parliamentary proceedings in a common way. We have been discussing the bills time and again,” leader Bartaula said.
