Airport

I am at Bergamo Airport, Italy,

heading back to my home in Norway.

I’m in quite a hurry carrying the baggage of responsibility.

doing security check,

boarding pass check,

Identity Card check.

Some passengers are sleepy,

some are tired.

Like me, they’re in a hurry too.

”From Bergamo to Oslo. Gate number A13. Boarding has started. You need to proceed.”

Frequent announcements are being made.

This world is also an airport from which every life must journey on a plane called death.

Bitter truth On that journey,

there will be no security checks,

boarding passes or passports will not be examined, and there will be no repeated announcements about the departing plane.

And life will never land again like

a plane at another airport.

This will be a departure for eternity.
