Five killed as Air Dynasty helicopter crashes in Nuwakot

KATHMANDU: Five persons died when a helicopter belonging to Air Dynasty crashed at Suryachaur in Shivapuri Rural Municipality-7 of Nuwakot on Wednesday.

According to Bir Bahadur Tamang, Chairman of Suryachaur, Shivapuri Rural Municipality-5, five bodies were found in the incident site.

The chopper with captain Arun Malla and four Chinese nationals had lost contact with the air traffic controller three minutes after it took off for Sybrubesi of Rasuwa from Kathmandu.

SP Shanti Raj Koirala of the District Police Office, Nuwakot said that a team of police personnel has reached the incident site.

Meanwhile, a team of Nepal Army has also reached the crashed site.
