PM Oli expresses grief over Saurya Airlines plane crash

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed sorrow over the Saurya Airlines plane crash at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday morning, killing 18 people on board.

Taking to social media, the Prime Minister said that he is deeply saddened by the tragic death of 18 people in the crash. He urged all for patience at this hour of grief.

The Prime Minister had also visited the incident site to inquire about the cause of the crash with the Civil Aviation Authority’s officials.

The plane with the call sign 9N- AME skidded off the runway and fell into a ditch on the eastern side of the runway while taking off for Pokhara.

The incident took place at 11:11 am.
