Armed men rob jewellery shop in Chitwan

CHITWAN: A group of unidentified persons robbed a jewellery shop at Kholesimal in Kalika Municipality-6, Chiwan on Saturday.

Chitwan police said that the assailants looted the jewellery shop owned by Binod Sunar at 8: 40 pm by brandishing a pistol.

According to police, they robbed 35 kg silver, three kg gold and Rs 200, 000 in cash.

DSP Shreeram Bhandari of the District Police Office, Chitwan said that the armed gang looted the shop while the owner was about to shut down the shutters.

Police said that they are investigating the case.
