Speaker Ghimire appeals to PM Dahal to forge consensus with NC pronto
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire held a meeting to discuss the issue of House obstruction.
During the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, the two discussed the issue of Parliament obstruction, the Speaker’s Secretariat informed.
The Speaker said that the continuous House obstruction has created quite a stir among the people at a time when the bills could not be passed by the Parliament.
He said that some bills could be passed and some could be sent to the committee if the Parliament resumed.
Speaker Ghimire appealed to the Prime Minister to forge consensus with the main opposition Nepali Congress immediately.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dahal said that the leaders of the ruling coalition are holding a meeting to discuss the issue today.
They held talks for 45 minutes.
