PM positive on forming parliamentary committee to investigate cooperative scam: Lekhak (With video)

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress has said that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is positive on investigating the cooperative scam by forming a parliamentary committee.

In the meeting held between Prime Minister Dahal and leaders of Nepali Congress in Baluwatar on Sunday, Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said that the Prime Minister is positive on forming a parliamentary committee for the investigation of cooperative cases.

He said that they had reiterated their demand of forming a parliamentary probe committee to investigate cooperative fraud charges against Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane during the meeting with the Prime Minister this morning.

“We put our views that a parliamentary probe committee should be formed to investigate the cooperative scam. The prime minister has taken our demand in a positive way. The Parliamentary Work Execution meeting of the party to be held at 1 pm on Monday will take further decisions,” he said.
