Maoist Center to field its candidates for by-elections in Ilam and Bajhang
KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to field its candidates for the by-elections to be held in Ilam-2 and Bajhang Province Assembly-1 on April 27.
An office-bearers’ meeting of the party held in Baluwatar on Wednesday made the decision to this effect.
The meeting has decided to field the party candidates for the by-election, Central Office Chief Secretary Shreeram Dhakal said.
The names of central member Dhirendra Sharma Raman, Province Secretariat member Urmila Tamang, Provine member Om Gurung and Anil Barayeli were recommended from Ilam-2.
The CPN-UML has already made a decision to field Suhang Nembang in Ilam-2.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party is holding a discussion to field Milan Limbu while the Nepali Congress is preparing to nominate Dambar Khadka, who lost to UML’s Subash Nembang by a thin margin in the last election.
