Opposition parties obstruct House meeting, demand resignation of three ministers
KATHMANDU: Opposition parties obstructed the Parliament meeting on Monday.
Lawmakers of opposition parties—CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party—are chanting slogans demanding resignation of three controversial ministers.
Before obstructing the meeting, UML lawmaker Gokul Prasad Baskota reiterated that Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala, Health Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet and Tourism Minister Sudan Kiranti have no moral right to hold the posts.
Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party also drew the attention of the government towards the Balkumari incident, where two youths lost their lives in the demonstration, problems of loan shark victims and farmers.
