Prof Dr Baral appointed TU Vice-Chancellor
KATHMANDU: Prof Dr Keshar Jung Baral has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University, appointed Baral to the vacant post of Vice-Chancellor of the University, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat said.
The Vice-Chancellor Selection and Recommendation Committee headed by Education Minister Ashok Kumar Rai recommended the names of Baral along with Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki and Tankanath Dhamala for the post of Vice-Chancellor.
Out of 43 individuals applying for the vacant post of the Vice-Chancellor, 14 were shortlisted for the interview.
It has been said that Baral was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University on the basis of educational qualification, training, research article, interview and presentations.
