NA election: Janamat Party fields its own candidate

KATHMANDU: Dr CK Raut-led Janamat Party, who is the Pushpa Kamal Dahal government, has also fielded its own candidate for the National Assembly election scheduled for January 25.

Janamat’s Ram Shankar Mahaseth of Dhanusha has filed his nomination from another group.

Sambhu Sah proposed his nomination while Sanjay Yadav seconded the proposal. Both Sah and Yadav are the lawmakers.

Puja Chaudhary of Janata Samajbadi Party filed her candidacy from the ruling coalition and Ananda Dhungana from the Nepali Congress.

After the Janamat Party did not get any seat from the coalition for the election, the party fielded its own candidate in Madhes and Lumbini.
