Samajbadi Morcha objects to arrest warrant issued against Biplav among other CPN leaders

KATHMANDU: The Samajbadi Morcha has expressed its objection two weeks after the Kathmandu District Court issued an arrest warrant against senior leaders of the Nepal Communist Party including General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’.

Morcha’s Coordinator and CPN (Unified Socialist) party Chairman Madhav Nepal, issuing a statement on Monday, said that his serious attention has been drawn to the arrest warrant issued against Nepal Communist Party leaders.

The Kathmandu District Court on October 5, 2023 had issued an arrest warrant against Biplav among other party leaders.

“We appealed to the government and the concerned authorities to fully implement the three-point agreement signed between the government and communist parties for not allowing the situation giving rise to any conflict in the current political situation of the country,” the statement read.

The Morcha has demanded that the three-point agreement signed between the government and Morcha be implemented.
