“Durga Prasain has no permission to hold programmes in Tinkune”

KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu said that its attention has been drawn towards the additional protest programmes announced by anti-republic campaigner Durga Prasain under the ‘Nagarik Bachau Andolan’.

Organising a press conference on Thursday evening, Prasain had announced to gather in Tinkune and stage demonstrations in a ‘Sri Lankan style’ from today, targeting Singha Durbar and houses of the leaders of political parties.

The administration has made it clear that the permission has not been granted to hold a programme in Tinkune.

Kathmandu District Administration Office Assistant Chief District Officer Rabindra Prasad Acharya has warned of taking action as per the law against the people responsible for disturbing peace in the society and indulging in inappropriate activities.
