Jajarkot earthquake: Govt decides to provide Rs 200, 000 in relief to each family of deceased

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to provide Rs 200,000 in relief to each family of the people who were killed in the earthquake in Jajarkot and Rukum West.

A Cabinet meeting held on Sunday made the decision to this effect.

The meeting also extended condolences to the families to those killed in the earthquake that occurred on Friday night, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said.

She said that the government has decided to provide free treatment to the people injured in the incident.

The meeting has also decided to arrange temporary shelters and security for the affected families.
