UN Secretary General Guterres in Singha Durbar for high-level meetings

KATHMANDU: United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has reached Singha Durbar for high-level meetings.

He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka and Foreign Minister NP Saud.

He started the high-level meetings by holding a meeting with Foreign Minister Saud.

The Secretary General was welcomed by spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sewa Lamsal.

He is scheduled to meet Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli today itself.

The Secretary General is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Ram Chandra Paudel today itself.

He, however, will meet Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha on Tuesday.

The UN Secretary General arrived in Nepal on a four-day official visit on Saturday.

Foreign Minister Saud among others welcomed him at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
