Former Minister Kushwaha quits CPN (MC), joins Janamat Party

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) leader and former minister Shiva Chandra Kushwaha joined the Janamat Party.

Kushwaha, who was defeated with Janata Samajbadi Party leader Ram Sahaya Yadav by a margin of 300 votes in the last election, joined the Janamat Party this afternoon.

Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut welcomed him amidst a programme organised in the Reporters Club.

Raut also announced plans to make him a candidate in the by-election from Bara 2.

The Election Commission is holding a by-election in Bara-2 after Ram Sahara Yadav was elected Vice-President of the country.
