RSP to vote for Janamat Party’s Mamata Jha in vice-presidential election

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party has decided to vote in favour of Mamata Jha of Janamat Party in the vice-presidential election.

A meeting of the party leaders held at the party office on Friday made the decision to this effect.

The RSP decided to vote for Jha as she is a woman and belonged to a new party, a lawmaker said.

The party, however, has not made a formal decision on the issue due to the election code of conduct.
