Birendranagar of Surkhet tense after bus-hit kills woman

SURKHET: Birendranagar area of Surkhet remained tensed through out the day today after a bus-hit killed a woman on Sunday.

Polices fired teargas canisters after the situation took an ugly turn.

Police fired four rounds of teargas shells to disperse the mob. A policeman was injured in the clash.

Kith and kin of Nadi Raut of Jajarkot , who died in a bus hit on Sunday, have been staging a demonstration since this morning.

DSP Laxmi Shahi of the District Police Office, Surkhet said that 130 police personnel have been deployed in the area.
