Urmila Aryal files nomination for NA Vice-Chairperson’s post

KATHMANDU: Urmila Aryal of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has filed nomination for the post of Vice-Chairperson of the National Assembly on Sunday.

The Election Commission has given time till this evening to file nomination.

There is a possibility that she will be elected unopposed.

The main opposition Nepali Congress, however, has decided not to field its candidate for the post of Vice-Chairperson.

The Congress has also decided to extend its support to Aryal.

The election for the post of Vice-Chairperson of the National Assembly has been scheduled for February 8.
