President Bhandari offers garland to statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah (With photos)

KATHMANDU: The 301^st Prithvi Jayanti, the birthday of late King Prithvi Narayan Shah, is being observed by organising various programmes across the country on Wednesday. The day is also celebrated as the National Unity Day.

On the occasion, President Bidya Devi Bhandari offered a garland to the life-size statue of the King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the unifier of modern Nepal, in front of the west of the Singha Durbar today.

Likewise, a contingent of Nepal Army presented a guard of honour to President Bhandari.
