Government negotiation team formed to hold discussion with Biplav, statement coming soon

KATHMANDU: A discussion is to be held between the government and the banned Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN. The government is forming a negotiating team today to hold a discussion with the group.

After informal discussions between the two sides, a conducive atmosphere has been created for the discussion, which will be held between the negotiating teams of both the parties, according to a senior government source.

On behalf of the government, Spokesperson Parbat Gurung has issued a statement announcing the names of those in the negotiating team. The Biplav group has already formed a three-member negotiating team. 

A leader of the Biplav group said that a public program will be announced in Kathmandu soon after receiving a statement from the government.
