PM Dahal to take vote of confidence on January 10

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will take the vote of confidence on January 10.

Prime Minister Dahal wrote to Bharat Raj Gautam, General Secretary at the Parliament Secretary, to make arrangements for the same.

There is a provision that the Prime Minister should take the vote of confidence within 30 days of being appointed to the post as per Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Dahal was appointed to the top executive post on December 25 with the support of seven political parties including the CPN-UML.

The Prime Minister is preparing to expand the Cabinet only after taking the trust vote.
