Home Ministry directs security officials not to meet leaders, diplomatic officials without permission

KATHMANDU: The Home Ministry has directed security officials to meet diplomatic officials and leaders only with prior permission.

Issuing a notice on Thursday, the Ministry has directed the officials to hold such meetings by taking permission from the concerned department.

The Ministry warned that action will be taken against those found violating the directive.

Saying that the security officials have been found meeting with leaders of political parties and diplomatic officials, the Ministry said that the officials have to take permission in cases other than duty.

There has been an extensive interference of the power center in the promotion and transfer of security officials. Because of which, security officials are found to be holding leaders of the political parties.
