NC nomination process begins for party leader (With photos)
KATHMANDU: The movement of leaders has started at the Parliamentary Party office of the Nepali Congress in Singhadurbar to choose the party leader.
The nomination process began at the party office from 2 pm and will continue till 3 pm.
Party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will file candidacy from the establishment faction while General Secretary Gagan Thapa will file his candidacy against Deuba.
Senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel is the proposer of Deuba while Shekhar Koirala is the proposer of Thapa.
The election to choose the Parliamentary Party leader will start from 8 to 10 am tomorrow.
The Nepali Congress won a total of 89 seats—57 directly and 32 through proportional system—in the recently held elections.
