3 dead as boat capsizes in Narayani River

KAWASOTI: Three persons lost their lives when a boat capsized in Narayani River at Susta, Nawalparasi West on Monday.

Nawalparasi Police Chief Rishi Ram Kandel said that the ill-fated boat carrying youths sank in the Narayani River at Narsahi in Susta Rural Municipallity-4 yesterday.

The deceased have been identified as Guddu Harijan (22), Niraj Harijan (18) and Ranjit Gupta (18) of Susta-4.

Kandel said that two persons were injured in the incident. The injured have been identified as Kishor Harijan (22) and Sohita Sahani.

They have been taken to Bhairahawa for treatment.

Police said that they are investigating the case.
