Chinese Speaker Li Zhanshu arrives in Kathmandu on a four-day visit
KATHMANDU: Standing Committee Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China and Chinese Speaker Li Zhanshu arrived on a four-day official visit to Kathmandu on Monday.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota welcomed him at the Tribhuvan International Airport this afternoon.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Speaker Sapkota and Standing Committee Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China Li will hold a bilateral meeting today.
Speaker Sapkota will host a dinner in honour of the Chinese leader today itself.
Li is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on September 14 and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on September 15, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
He will hold a meeting with National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsena and Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka on September 15.
During his stay in Nepal, he will hold separate meetings with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
He will return home on September 15.
