Duo held with two pistols from Morang

KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF) arrested two persons in possession of two pistols from Kharebari in Sunabarshi Municipality-8, Morang.

The APF said that Arif Alam (28) was arrested while he was heading towards Nepal from India on a motorbike (Ko 27 Pa 406).

Police have recovered a Chinese pistol, a magazine, a round of bullet and a sixer pistol from his possession.

Nabin Dhimal (29) was apprehended from Urlabari Municipality-6 after Alam said that the former had ordered both the pistols from him, the APF said.

Police said that Dhimal was rounded up with Rs 47, 770 in cash and two mobile sets.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
