Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma assumes office

KATHMANDU :  Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma assumed office on Sunday.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had appointed Sharma as the Finance Minister today afternoon.

Sharma had resigned from the post of Finance Minster after a probe committee was formed to investigate against him following the charges that he involved two unauthorised persons in the budget-making process.

Meanwhile, Minister Sharma thanked ruling alliance leaders for restoring him to the Ministry.
