Government to present Citizenship Bill in Parliament again

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to present a new Citizenship Bill in the Parliament.

A Cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to make some amendments in the previously proposed bill and submit it to the Parliament, Sports Minister Maheshwor Gahatraj said.

The government had decided to withdraw the bill, which was under the consideration of federal parliament for a long time, a few days ago.

Minister Gahatraj said that the government has decided to bring the new bill to address the people who are deprived of citizenship.
